The Company was established as "Paper Products (Malaya) Sdn Berhard" (known as PPM) in Johor, Malaysia in 1961. The Company shifted to Singapore, Jurong Industrial Estate and it was incorporated as "Paper Products (M) Pte Ltd" in 1971. The Company name was changed to "United Paper Industries Pte Ltd" (known as UPI) in 1988.
